Pastor Rick is the Pastoral Care Director for Pikes Peak Christian Church, with over 40 years of experience in churches he has established The Care Center and oversees the Counseling program. He holds a Master's of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa OK.  

Dale Piper, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist in the State of Colorado who is an approved internship site supervisor with several universities in their counseling and therapy programs (e.g., Colorado Christian University, Liberty University, Abilene Christian University, Denver Seminary, and Adams State University).  He has been training and supervising counselors for more than 10 years.

Julie L. Piper is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Colorado who is an approved internship site supervisor with several universities in their counseling and therapy programs. She has been training and supervising counselors for more than 10 years and is excited about helping interns have the best possible experience as they learn about working with clients.

Romy is our POC for all incoming interns. Her heart for our community and the wounded warriors in our congregation is truly amazing. She loves watching hearts and minds healed in The Care Center.

Tremaine began interning at the Care Center in 2022. She has recently received her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. She is now a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). Tremaine has worked in residential, in-home, and homeless settings with individuals and their families. She has spent her profession counseling, mentoring, and advocating for teens and young adults.

She believes life is a beautiful enigma filled with highs and lows. Further more, Tremaine understands how the low hardships can affect the mind, heart, and spirit. Wether you are a believer or nonbeliever in Christ, Tremaine is thrilled to walk with, encourage, and offer therapeutic support for those who believe they are walking a path of hardship alone.

Kirstin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, recently graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her approach to treatment is also informed by her Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development. Kirstin works with children, teens, and adults. 

Life rarely turns out as expected, if ever. Walking through 

those unmet expectations can feel uncomfortable and vulnerable. Kirstin's greatest desire is to step into that space and help individuals untangle some of those questions so they can come to a true understanding of who they are.

Kirstin's educational background focuses on the life stages of development and the effects of transitions on relationships within the family unit. She finds purpose in helping individuals and families overcome trauma, grief, anxiety, and relational concerns. Kirstin understands that children and adolescents do not always convey their needs and through words; therefore, she implements play therapy and art therapy techniques to help express themselves and their experiences. 

In her free time, Kirstin enjoys rock climbing, cooking ethnic foods, and attempting to paint like Bob Ross.

My name is Rachel Stein I am entering my Practicum for my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I graduate in June 2024. I am a student at Phoenix University. I have lived in Colorado Springs since 1997 and enjoy the beautiful mountains. I currently work at an elementary school in the Special Education Classroom. Deborah  Hannah Gural, also known as "Dehan" is pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Anticipating graduation in the fall of 2025, Deborah relocated with her husband, Oliver, from Pensacola, Florida, to begin her practicum in the fall of 2024. In 2020, she received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Pensacola Christian College.

Deborah immigrated from the Philippines as a child and grew up in East Texas. While living in Dallas, Deborah's passion for helping individuals who are suffering flourished as her relationship with God grew deeper and she experienced His regeneration. Devorah was called  to be a facilitator of healing to all in pursuit of a life of peace and abundance no matter what their background or struggle may be. She is committed to assisting clients with a non-judgmental and compassionate posture while empowering clients with therapeutic tools that are customized to their distinct concerns. Her professional objective is to ensure her clients feel heard and encouraged as they face challenges in the therapeutic process and feel equipped for their life-long journey of growth, healing, and recovery.

Darryl is pursuing his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and is on track to become a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) by December 2025. He holds a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Trident University International (TUI). After serving his last assignment at Fort Carson, Colorado, Darryl retired from the United States Army in 2020 after 21 years of service in the Human Resources field, including Diversity and Inclusion. Darryl and his wife, Lena, currently serve as marriage enrichment facilitators and teachers at their local church

With a strong foundation rooted in Christ, Darryl brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for helping individuals from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds. Having navigated his journey through life's challenges, Darryl understands life's many complexities and struggles. This personal experience fuels his dedication to helping others overcome similar issues. he employs various therapeutic methods tailored to each person's unique needs, guiding them toward becoming the best version of themselves.

My name is Oluwatosin Samuel Ayeni, but I go by my middle name, "Sam." I am a second-year Clinical Mental Health student specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy at Colorado Christian University, with a focus on a systemic approach to therapy using multiple therapeutic methods. I anticipate graduating in Fall of 2025.

In 2022, I relocated with my family to Colorado Springs from Arlington, TX. I have been been happily married for 14 years to my namesake, and we are blessed with two wonderful children. My professional background includes roles as a Teaching Pastor, IT Auditor, Financial Service Owner, and Self-Development Coach. Originally from Nigeria, West Africa, my parents were pastors and missionaries serving villages in the southwestern part of the country. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Biblical Studies from the University of Northwestern, St Paul in Minnesota. Additionally I have had the privilege of serving in the US Army as an Infamtryman with deployment experience. 

 I am passionate abut helping Families, Couples, and Individuals live superior and abundant life in all areas.
