If there is one thing our student ministry pastor and leaders know, it is church doesn’t have to be boring! We believe in the power of engaging students through fun events that open up opportunities to teach, challenge, and encourage students to say “yes” to God! PPCC student ministries is all about shaping middle and high school students by providing tools and community to equip each student’s own personal faith journey.
WHAT'S BEST FOR
YOUR STUDENT?
Whether you have a Middle School or High School student, there's something for you!
If you have a middle schooler, Pikes Peak Christian Church’s Middle School Ministry is committed to helping your 6th through 8th graders deal with all of the changes and challenges that occur during the middle school years.
At the 9:15am service, small groups, special events, leadership opportunities, serving opportunities, and more, our Middle School Ministry is ready to help your son or daughter face the middle school years head on – with Jesus at the center of it all.
If you have a high schooler, high school is often seen as a time of independence, but God doesn’t call us to focus on ourselves. So what better time in life than in high school to fully understand what your purpose is? Friendships, sports teams, whole schools would be radically changed if high schoolers were in tune with what God has created them for.
High School meets at 11am on Sunday mornings. The High School Ministry reaches out to students with a life-changing love and grace of Jesus. From the Sunday service to the small groups to serving opportunities to leadership development to great hangout times, our High School Ministry is a community where every high schooler can feel at home.
MIDDLE SCHOOL INCLINE
Pikes Peak Christian Church’s Middle School Ministry is committed to helping your fifth through eighth graders deal with all of the changes and challenges that occur during the middle school years.
Through the weekend service, small groups, special events, leadership opportunities, serving opportunities, and more, our Middle School Ministry is ready to help your son or daughter face the middle school years head on – with Jesus at the center of it all.
msINCLINE meets in the NextGen Worship Center in the NextGen Building.

9:20 – Welcome/Interactive (up front game, group game, object lesson, etc.)

9:35 – Teaching Time (primarily video teachings but will alternate a bit)

10:00 – 1 more praise song to energize students for small group discussion
10:05-10:35 – Small Group time (separated by gender and grade to be most effective; groups will make circles around the NextGen Worship Center)
10:35-10:50 – More Hang out/Game time
msINCLINE meets from 9:15-10:40am on Sunday Mornings.
The point of our weekend services are to help students learn about, and grow in Jesus, surrounded by community and strong friendships. This happens through worship, teaching, games and small groups. Our goal is for students to walk out of service excited about God and finding a place of belonging.
1. We chose 9:15am because it’s in the middle of our 3 services and it is also a bit earlier in case families have other plans Sunday mornings. Families can come at 9:15 then leave or can choose to come to service at 7:55am and then have their kids go to msINCLINE or they can come to msINCLINE and then attend 11:00 service together. It gives families a lot more flexibility.
2. Parents will have something to do while their kids are here (attend service or serve somewhere) which should increase consistency of students and their parents on Sunday mornings.
3. We never have to cancel a Sunday morning due to weather (unless we cancel church), we will occasionally have Family Worship Weekends where we will not have elementary or middle school programming.
What about students and families that can't come at 9:15am?
We realize families will have to make a choice. Our desire is that every family will choose to be here at 9:15am. But the reality is that some will choose not to. We also know that families will adjust their schedule for what is important to them and best for their kids (i.e. if baseball practice is at 6pm Thursday, families will adjust to make it work).
Students will have two main choices if their family stays for the 11:00am service:
1. Attend the main worship service together as a family at 11:00am (we believe it is so important to begin to develop the habit of attending an adult worship service at this age so it becomes a discipline and a habit for a lifetime).
2. If students can be mature and responsible we would love for them to find a place to serve with our younger children (at least 4 full years separation – 5th graders could help with 1st grade and down, 8th graders could help with 4th graders and down). If you are interested in serving in NextGen visit: www.yes2God.org/volunteer .
When your students enters msINCLINE, they will be welcomed by adult leaders and peers. Right away, we will help you get connected into msINCLINE. We also break off into small groups during every service where students are able to meet their leader and other students of the same gender.
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. msINCLINE is designed to be lots of fun! We’re thrilled when your student is so excited about what they are doing that they want others to be involved, we are pretty excited too! Middle School is a time when relationships get crazy and challenging and growing spiritually will help influence choices that matter! Encourage them regularly, and please be willing to give their friends a ride if they need it. It will change the lives of not just your student, but the lives of their friends.
HIGH SCHOOL ALTITUDE
What is Pikes Peak Christian Church’s High School Ministry all about?
In a word: community. Well, actually we need a few more words to be precise: Community with a purpose.
High school is often seen as a time of independence, but God doesn’t call us to focus on ourselves. So what better time in life than in high school to fully understand what your purpose is? Friendships, sports teams, whole schools would be radically changed if high schoolers were in tune with what God has created them for.

His favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 which says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future.”
SAFETY IN STUDENT MINISTRY
YOUR STUDENTS ARE SAFE
Volunteers in Student Ministry on campus are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their students while they are in service and on Sunday evenings. Every volunteer is screened with a background check and the kids hallway is monitored by security personnel, as well as security cameras. Don't worry parents - we've got this!
WHAT WE TEACH IN STUDENT MINISTRY
YOUR STUDENTS WILL LOVE IT
Whether your students are in middle or high school, they'll experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal in Student Ministry is to raise up world-changers who understand who Jesus is and how that changes their lives. And, they'll have a ton of fun!
